The B-side "Circles", in addition to being included in some reissues of My Generation, became a part of the record Ready Steady Who. "Substitute" - the only single produced by Pete Townshend, while the band was in a lawsuit with Talmy, as they were breaking their contract due to their dissatisfaction with his work. The US version did not include the cover "I'm a Man". Originally conceived as largely a cover album, Townshend convinced Talmy to let him write enough songs to make up the bulk of the album.

My Generation - the first album, and the only one produced by Talmy. "Shout and Shimmy" - B-side to the single "My Generation", a James Brown cover. "Anytime You Want Me" - the other B-side, this one a Garnet Mimms cover. "Daddy Rolling Stone" - one of two alternate B-sides to "Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere", this one an Otis Blackwell cover. "Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere" - single, the only song co-written by Townshend and Daltrey. "Bald Headed Woman" - B-side to "I Can't Explain", a traditional blues song credited to Talmy.

Also features Jimmy Page session work, and begins their association with producer Shel Talmy. "I Can't Explain" - first single recorded as The Who, and first Pete Townshend song. "I'm the Face" - B-side to "Zoot Suit", written by Meaden. Normally I would not include a song by an early version of the band, but this is Daltrey/Entwistle/Townshend/Moon, and they had been calling themselves The Who before they briefly changed to The High Numbers, so this is essentially a Who track recorded under a pseudonym. "Zoot Suit" - their first single, credited to The High Numbers. Maybe you're a beginner, maybe you're an old-timer who just wants to have a marathon.

If you have ever wanted to have a guide to the full body of work by The Who, chronologically, including non-album songs, I put it together for you here.
